Daniel’s brain and his dick are pulling him in two different directions. Usually the dick would win, but what he’s just heard is making him curious enough that he beats it back for a second.

“Is this sexual in nature? I certainly hope so.” Armand sort of unzips the shroud thing with what looks like a really fucked-up staple remover.
“No, I was going to ask-“
Armand sighs. “I am attempting to revive one of our old favorite activities with a modern twist. Lestat suggested you might like it.”
Daniel pauses, nonplussed. “Lestat suggested this?”
“In a way. It’s very comfortable inside, I assure you.”
“Wait, but I want to know-“
“Get in the chrysalis, beloved.”
Daniel gets in the chrysalis.

"Directing the conversation now?" Armand observes, but complies to the question, "I was in my twenties when he turned me, I believe. It is hard to say."
A flash of memory from Armand. One of his last days as a mortal. Long ring-adorned fingers wrapped around a handheld mirror, silver glinting in the candle light. First he examines his neck. Smooths a salve over the bruised skin. Twin punctures dotting his flesh, some old and scarred over, others flaking scabs. He is sore. There is a painful, swollen bite on his collarbone that hurts to touch.In-between the interview with Louis, Armand tells Daniel his story.

Summary
Armand shook his head. It didn’t matter why he didn’t do these things, only that he did not receive pleasure of his own; that he performed these acts purely to fulfill Daniel’s wishes. His own desires- well, those did not exist. They could not exist.
Things were his to have. Clothing and jewels and art. Experiences too, of mortal parties and luxurious locales. Sensation, pleasure- those were anathema.
A fic in three parts, in which Armand overcomes some religious trauma in order to experience Daniel completely.
