Regina is more than willing to start her senior year of highschool as fresh as she possibly could. It would take a while to completely shed her old image but she was willing to give it a somewhat decent try now.
You would think she'd consider it a blessing to have a new student in her year just in time to praise her for all the kindness and well-wishes she could offer as a new woman. At least, she would've considered it a blessing if that new student wasn't everything she could remember hating wrapped up in a nice and neat little package.
