Summary
Tim Bradford’s closet used to be a masterpiece of precision: 24 hangers per rack, shoes aligned, symmetry, all the good stuff. Then Lucy Chen moved in. Summary
Instead of packing her things away and leaving, Lucy pulls something out of her bag.
As she returns to stand in front of him, she’s shaking her head gently, and Tim’s never felt more confused in his life. He’s frozen, still down on one knee, the velvet box still outstretched in his trembling grip.
The confusion only grows when he clocks the watery smile adorning her face. He has no idea what’s happening right now.
But then his eyes flick down, and he finds there’s a small velvet box in her hands, too.
Or:
When they booked this vacation, Tim knew it would be the perfect place to ask Lucy to marry him. As it turns out, Lucy had the same idea. Chenford proposal one-shot.Bookmarked by Daphne23

Summary
Balancing her supplies in the crook of her elbow, she steps forward with a smile, holding out her hand. “Lucy Chen. I’m the new psych teacher.”
The man glances at the classroom door behind her, where her name is now proudly displayed. “I figured,” he says. It’s not disapproving, or dry, or warm. It’s just… a fact. He stares blankly at her hand for a second before begrudgingly giving it a shake. “Tim Bradford. History.”
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Tim.” She motions at the short distance between their classrooms. “I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of each other this year.”
Or:
When Lucy starts her new job teaching high school psychology, she's pretty sure she’s going to spend her school year barely tolerating the cold, closed-off history teacher across the hall. That’s not quite how it works out, though. A Teacher!Chenford AU.Bookmarked by Daphne23

Summary
“Miles said you seemed to know the woman,” Lucy says, placing a hand over his.
Tim pauses.
Know is a strong word. One that he isn’t sure applies here.
He knew her, once. A long time ago. She cooked him dinner and bought him and Genny ice cream in the park and silently handed him ice packs when his bruises looked particularly bad. He kissed her cheek after she dropped him off at football practice and promised her it was okay as she drove him to the emergency room with a broken rib—even listened when she suggested he tell them he’d tripped down the stairs.
But nothing good lasts in a house like that.
Or:

“Texts are good, but voice is different. Voice is him in her ear, low and steady, making her body relax against its will.”
They live together. Lucy goes undercover.
Texts become routine. Calls become oxygen. Restraint becomes its own kind of intimacy.
