Nearly a year into their arranged marriage, Sansa Stark and Jaime Lannister remain strangers to one another. When the Dragon Queen visits Winterfell on her way to the Wall, Sansa and Jaime decide to pretend to be in love in order to deprive Daenerys of the pleasure of seeing that her plan to punish them both with a loveless marriage has thus far been working. What starts as an act quickly evolves into something more real and neither are quite prepared for the consequences.

After everything that's happened, Sansa still loves Jon, but does he feel the same? He never accepts her invitations to visit. Perhaps it's time she moves on. She does have to marry, after all, and have heirs. But then something brings him back to Winterfell. And he keeps returning, keeping an eye on her while also unknowingly keeping her love for him alive when he’s determined to keep his vows this time. His vow to protect her, aye, but also to remain Lord Commander, take no wife, father no children. As a kinslayer, that shouldn't be too hard. Who'd want him, anyway?
