“Right,” Sam says. He huffs out a breath as he draws up his confidence. “Dad, Dean, this is Castiel. My boyfriend.”

Summary
Time travel. That actually makes sense. It would also explain why his grace feels so weak, why his body aches so much. But Castiel can’t remember traveling through time. He wouldn’t do that without a reason, right?
The Winchesters are still looking at him, waiting for an answer.
“2008.”, Castiel answers and his eyes wander to Dean again, “September 2008.”
Dean draws in a sharp breath.
“Son of a bitch”, he hisses.
---
Dean is still mourning the loss of his best friend, when something decides to drop the Castiel from 2008 right into the bunker. Now Dean is not only confronted with a pissed off angel he can barely look at, they also have to find out what brought Castiel into their timeline. And especially, what's the reason behind this?

Summary
The story in which the Winchesters’ final showdown with God ends differently. “If you think you could have written it better… then do it all over again without me,” Chuck says, and tosses the boys back through time to their twenty-something bodies and their first case together. Knowing now what they didn’t know then, Sam and Dean resolve to work smarter and not harder and nip the apocalypse in the bud. They start by saving Jessica, then John—but Azazel and Meg are on their tails, God is not on their side, and things just aren’t quite the same the second time around.
Meanwhile, Dean is still grieving the loss of Cas to The Empty—but now he’s got a second chance. Can he befriend the Angel Castiel all over again—without dying and being raised from perdition? Can he give Cas what he truly wanted before—and will the angel still want it? If Dean offers his heart, will Castiel take it, or break it?And how can they find the key to the bunker again, dammit?

Summary
Cas huffs and shakes his head, but he doesn’t seem to be interested in engaging in further discussion, so he just opens the book again and says without looking at him: “Good night, Dean.”
That’s all. Dean rolls his eyes and pushes himself up from the table, shoving the book a little rougher than necessary into the shelf and because he is a little shit and has to have the last word, he turns towards Cas again.
“So, I’m not getting a good night kiss then?”
_____
When Dean discovers the ritual of Cas giving Jack a good night kiss, he teases the shit out of the angel. He doesn't expect for Cas to tease back. He also doesn't expect how much he likes it.
