Summary
In the wake of the Dark Lord's resurrection, fractured shards of the Black family - once scattered - are pieced together as the embers of resistance flicker to life once again. Unlikely partnerships are forged, and trust must be earned in a race against time to protect the next generation from the mistakes of the past and guarantee a future for the wizarding world.
A "Regulus Lives" AU in which Regulus survives the horcrux cave in 1979, but instead of remaining in England, sets off to France to destroy the locket and learn how to exist outside the context of the Family - and when Voldemort returns, so does Regulus. This trilogy begins at the very end of "Goblet of Fire," progressing through the Second War primarily from the perspectives of Regulus and Sirius Black, with additional POVs occasionally included for broadened perspective. Against the backdrop of a budding war and a horcrux hunt, the brothers begin the healing process for their broken family.
Backstory, as well as side stories, are organized in approximate chronological order in the companion series, "renascentia: between the lines."
