He was Robin! And that made him magic~

“You should be grateful.” Willis spat. “There are far worse things, worse people I could have sold you off to, you’ve finally become worth something to this family.” Jason was definitely going to punch him. “With the money they’re giving us for this arrangement your mother can finally get the care she needs.”
Jason’s hands uncurled and the tension eased out of his posture, that was the only reason he was going along with this whole thing. He hadn’t had the choice in the first place but that didn’t mean he couldn’t have just disappeared altogether. He was doing this for his mother, he loved his mother. She had been sick for a long time now and was starting to get worse, she needed better treatment that they couldn’t afford and for her, he’d throw away his life.
“Don’t look so depressed, Jason, you’re going to have a better than life than if you stuck around here.” Willis sneered and narrowed his eyes when Jason glared at him. “Just remember, if you mess this up you will be killing your mother. So just this once, don’t fuck it up Jason.” He said before leaving his son alone with his thoughts.

The wind up here was strong and the cold felt like it was biting his skin even through his ratty old hoodie he’s had since he was maybe ten. Tim had considered dressing a little nice for tonight but he didn’t think it would matter when things were said and done.
Tonight was his birthday.
Tonight was his thirteenth birthday.
It was the third in a row his parents forgot or just couldn’t be there, ‘something came up, we can do something when we get back’. It’s what they said every time and then forgets all over again when they did come back. They hardly stayed long enough to remember their promise, never stayed longer than to pack up to just leave again.

Robin was here, not on the other side of his camera lens. No, he was sitting on top of Tim and yelling at him after saving him. Robin had snatched Tim out of the air and stopped him.

Tim’s eyes were sparkling in the sun as he laughed at a joke made by the little kid climbing onto the inner tube. Tim normally wore his sunglasses like the rest of them, but Jason guessed he’d forgotten them today. Jason kept finding himself looking over at him, watching how the light made his eyes shimmer into the same color as the water below.
Jason blinked a few times to focus up and waved over the next group of kids for his side of the slide. The platform they were stationed on had two slides, the largest in the park, which almost always meant it was the busiest. He liked working with Tim, but he hated how easily he was able to distract Jason from what he was supposed to be doing.Jason comes back to his old summer job at the Gotham waterpark after taking a year off for his internship. He finally meets Tim, who started working there the year before.

Jason was pacing the length of his bedroom, waiting for Dick to call him back, to let him know if Tim had woken up yet. He took another swig of beer from the bottle in his hand.
He just…couldn’t take it when he saw Tim like that. Jason had panicked when he first saw him, thinking he was too late. He’d cut Tim down quickly, cradling him as gently as he could. Tears of relief had streamed freely down his face when he’d felt Tim’s breath against his cheek. He didn’t have near enough gauze on him to cover even a third of the gashes Tim had sustained.
He felt his blood boil again, just thinking about it. He took another sip of his beer. He probably shouldn’t be drinking, but it was either that or smoke and he’d already gone through three cigarettes tonight.Written for JayTim Week 2025 Day 7: Red

Tim, standing so close, was suddenly awash in the smell of Jason, rich and sweet and deep, mouthwatering in a way that made it almost impossible for Tim to resist reaching up and burying his face in the crook of his shoulder. Jason always smelled good, but God, it was like someone was caramelizing sugar, letting that incredible fragrance waft into the air, and–
Oh. Jason did smell better than normal, with extra sweet and musky notes, because–
“You dumped me straight into pre-heat,” Jason explained, “and then you left. I almost went into shock. Can I get a little concern for my health and well-being, here?”
“Holy shit,” Tim said, stunned. He had sort of thought that that didn't happen in real life. Well, he knew it was a possibility, but – no, he hadn't, because he'd always assumed it only applied to alpha and omega couples.
