Summary
Mark has been feeling off ever since his last rut—unsettled, restless, like something inside him is out of sync. It should have passed by now, but instead, the discomfort lingers, a quiet, gnawing hunger he doesn’t understand. And, for some goddamn reason, being around Cecil Stedman makes it better.
Which makes no sense.
Cecil is a beta—cold, logical, emotionally distant in a way that should irritate Mark more than it soothes him. But the more time Mark spends around him, the more his instincts scream at him to pay attention. His father once told him that Viltrumite instincts were powerful, undeniable, especially when it came to omegas. But Mark is more than his Viltrumite nature. Right?
Then why does Mark keep catching himself breathing deeper every time he’s near Cecil, searching for something that isn’t there?
Why does every part of him feel like it’s waiting for an answer he’s not ready to hear?

Summary
Conquest is not a patient man. Infiltration and the slow burn of dismantling a planet from within is for other Viltrumites. But now he is stuck on Earth for the next hundred years. This mission was going to be boring. And then he meets Cecil Stedman and sees the same lonely eyes reflected in his mirror. And Conquest knew the human was his. Maybe he can learn to be patient for his little Kitten.
“I want to watch you beg for mercy. I want to see the great director of the GDA grovel at my feet like the animal you truly are. And when I’m done with you, when you’re nothing but a whimpering mess, I’ll decide if Earth is even worth keeping around. Or if I’ll just burn it to the ground for the sheer pleasure of watching it burn with you at my side, my pet.”
