    Even if his friend tried to he couldn’t keep the malice oozing out of his thoughts straight into Daniel's brain.

    “He started talking to me in Italian. I don’t think he knows where he is right now, or who I am. He thinks I’m his new owner.”
    There was a pause and for a moment he believed that his friend had cut the connection and abandoned him.
