Fantastic oneshot of an ALMOST possibility. Probably one of the most infuriating and lovely little oneshot I have read in awhile. They were so close! He cares and yet his insane side is there stopping him! HE ISN'T A POISON! SHE IS THE CURE DAMMIT!

Ok, this one DOES start off a little slow and can be viewed as winded with the descriptions that are provided, but do NOT let that deter you from this fiction! This has the great foundation to be one hell of a Sam x Josh fiction with the Soul Mark plot line tied in. Why do I like this so much? Because the soul marks are NOT the primary focus of this story, the characters and their experiences are. The marks serve to enhance their character and their lives, after all there is so much more to a character then fate and a mark that draws them together. This is what I like about this story, it is deep and REALLY well thought out! The author has thrown in a mysterious past and a love triangle to stress the hardships these two will endure! It is simply amazing, he even has gone to some length to give each character some unique quirks in his world! Also early on there is an INTENSE scene that gets the heart and mind going. The Josh and Sam connection is also real and tangible, the only MINOR thing I have against it so far is Josh isn't as talky/crazy as he was portrayed, which are central to his character. Though that is small compared to the scope this author is seemingly planning.
The quick version? READ IT, it is long but REALLY worth it. Paints a great picture with strong characters.

Time to update this as this work is now finished! This fantastic story is about Sam as she gets stuck in the mines with an already wendigo turned Josh. Her leg is broken and she is trapped with what appears to be a man eater, however what ensues proves that he is anything but. While he is still feral, he seems to remember Sam and all of the feelings they had together from their "connection". This twists and turns with Josh protecting Sam from all obstacles from food to other wendigos. It is TRULY endearing to read and the flashbacks that the author does are insightful and heart warming. Suddenly, Josh is starting to become more human, undoing the curse. What ensues is sweetness and conflict that moves the soul with an ending to make you all smile and make you wonder, "This is what happened... right?" Well maybe not, as it is drastic, but it will make you hope nonetheless!

This is a good read, really capturing aspects of the characters! Mastermind Josh was a joy to follow and cheerleader Sam was literal MAGIC with her innocence and carefully constructed character(she was obviously my favorite part). They fit each other perfectly and this is quite a cool and realistic rollercoaster of a fiction. One great surprise to anyone reading this is the Jessica portrayed in this! Her role really stands out to me and I believe needs to be addressed as it was great. This fiction is currently "Completed", but is left VERY loose ended with the potential to go on. It also leaves a lot of things unfinished, but alas the author could not continue on. To their credit, they gave us an ending to this fiction that was seriously adorable and heart warming and for that, this author does deserve a tap of our hats.
