Yes, I want a prehistoric AU with those two. I mean living in caves, having a simpler speech, stone tools, fleas, etc.
Thor's tribe destroys another tribe because they couldn't agree about their territories. Loki, a son of the leader of that tribe, survives, but he gets captured and enslaved.
People of Thor's tribe dislike Loki, who's scared and all alone among them; he's an alien to them. But very soon Thor becomes possessive and protective of him (also, he claims him). And those who challenge his choices get roared at and also get a stone hammer to their heads. He's their leader and he won't tolerate his decisions being questioned (I don't mind if Odin is in the story, but he's no longer a leader, because he's too old).
What of the genre... I prefer drama (humour is not my thing). Also, please, sex between Loki and Thor, which at first is, most likely, dub- or non-con, considering the time we are talking about.
+1000 Frigga looks after Loki and takes care of him when Thor is away (hunting, for example), because she knows that Loki is important to her son, and Loki gets attached to both Thor and her.

Summary
A trilogy of fics following an AU history, starting from the conception of Sleipnir.
In 'The Last Days of Magic and Glory,' Thor spends times with Loki when he is trapped in the form of a horse and both boys must learn to accept and appreciate each other.
In 'The Season of War and Winter,' the brothers fight a war on Jotunheim and must learn compassion for their enemies, Loki's kin.
In 'The Age of Silver and Gold,' Thor enlists Loki's help to defend Midgard from attack and the brothers must make a compromise in order to rule the realms as they were meant to.
