Summary
This fic is based on my headcanon that if Aka Akasaka had more knowledge of heavy music, Yu Ishigami would be a slacker metalhead with a soft heart, and that he could eventually take to being a vocalist. He's surprisingly poetic and thinks deeply, and his knowledge of the Japanese Language of Flowers puts a unique spin on the themes of his lyrics. All lyrics that will appear in this fic are written by me personally! Writing lyrics from the perspective of a character is a very fun writing exercise. This is my very first fic, and I've poured a lot of love of metal into this, as well as my love of these two characters and their ship. Updates will be when they come.

Summary
This is a prequel one-shot to my other fic, Yu Ishigami Wants to Scream. I had promised this as a separate work as I didn't want to make more than one long flashback in the main body of that fic, and there will be a lengthy one coming soon to that one. For those that haven't read that work, the only major divergence from canon is that Ishigami is a long time metalhead, leading to him being a metal vocalist in that one. Otherwise, this work can stand on its own as a one-shot. Please enjoy! I deeply appreciate all kudos and comments.

Summary
The day started off so well.
After T University entrance exams, Saku is hit by a car, putting him into a state of unconsciousness. Subaru now has to live knowing that her dear... friend... is in mortal peril, and visits him often during recovery.
Self-explanatory title, really. This fic has a happy ending.
Update: Final Chapter "the donuts can wait" released.

Hoshina Subaru had never known what it was like to experience romance. She always thought that her friends were always so cute when discussing it, with their nervous smiles and red-hued faces.
Her friends knew all too well what that face looked like on her.
Sort of diverts from canon after Chapter 163, but still tries to be compliant.
