Shu Yi needed to get most of these Shi De-aligned thoughts out of his system so that his brain had enough space to focus on lectures, to follow along in conversations, and in general to simply function like a normal human being again."
Shi De's entire existence is distracting and Shu Yi tries to solve that problem with a less than well thought out plan.

"Gook’s face looked slightly less wounded in the dim lighting of the living room, but the state of the wipes Tae Joo was using to clean his cuts bore the evidence of the true state he was in. Tae Joo mentally kicked himself for being the cause of a situation that ended up injuring Gook this badly. The cut on the corner of his mouth was especially bad, it was deep and would take time to heal. Tae Joo gently blew air on it hoping to ease the sting of the disinfectant.
He felt like a hypocrite. He was the reason for this whole mess and yet here he was trying to mend the wounds he had caused."
