The plan had been simple enough. Take the sky from Artemis to let her fight Atlas long enough to get him trapped back under the sky. There shouldn't have been any real way for it to go wrong. And yet...somehow it just had.
OR
Artemis in her anger towards Atlas harming Zoe takes things further then she did in canon. Leaving Percy trapped under the sky and that changes a lot more in the aftermath.

There was no way Sally could have kept Percy hidden from Zeus, not when the sky is above everything and sees everything below.
And it’s not like she can now, when she’s already gone to Hades’ domain and left their son behind.
Nor can Poseidon and therefore Amphitrite because of the rule of interference stopping them from being able to raise Percy.

On the day Percy Jackson is born, Poseidon holds him in his arms and cries in joy.
