Summary
The accident that sent Hermione to the past is only marginally important (it was an accident, it brought her there, and there’s no changing that now). The actions Hermione took when she thought she was stuck there are a bit more important (if she’s stuck here, she’s damn well going to make it the best world possible to live in and she’s proven more than once that Death Eaters don’t stand a chance against Hermione Granger on a mission). But it’s what happens next that’s most important (because all it takes is another miscast spell to send her back to her own time).
Before Hermione knows for sure if her actions have actually made an impact, she unexpectedly finds herself back in her own time and the victim of a poorly cast memory charm. She thought things couldn’t be more complicated than learning to navigate a new world she helped create with only a spotty recollection of how it came about but a crystal-clear memory of the world it replaced. But she’s about to discover a much bigger unexpected bump in the road. After all, every action has an after effect.
