“Yes, Professor.” In order to avoid any further punishment he took initiative and picked up the neatly placed quill and started writing the familiar line ‘I must not tell lies’. It’s a wonder how the human body can forget what pain feels like until they are faced against it once again with full force. Despite having just felt this exact same pain last night, the feeling of slicing open his skin brutally with the blasted quill will never get any easier. He held back a grimace, not wanting to give the toad the satisfaction of a reaction.
Harry falls asleep during potions and has to serve a detention with Snape; the problem is that the detention with Snape is set to be at the same time as one he has with Umbridge. Chaos ensues.

Summary

The ever-busy Dumbledore is a little delayed in sending that howler to Petunia, and so when Vernon insists that Harry needs to leave the house as he's clearly a danger to the family, Harry is packed and down the road with no protest, causing the blood wards to break. The Dursleys instantly become a vulnerable target for Death Eaters, and Harry himself is snatched by a Death Eater, but it's Severus Snape and this is coming from a Severitus writer so you've likely already figured out where all of this is going.
