Summary
Legend has had his fair share of battles. He's taken everything down from Moblins to Wizzrobes to Lynels three times his size, and he had no problem with taking down another group of enemies when they tried to attack him and Sky.
But this wasn't just another group, because there was a key difference between an average black - blooded monster and the ones Legend was up against now, and a small slipup during their battle is all it takes for Legend to take a turn for the worse.

Summary
Sky had been through it all: he's been forced from his home on Skyloft to save his Zelda, he's fought hundreds of monsters and demons of various calibers, he's even killed a god and despite everything against him, so there wasn't much else in his books that could be any worse than that. But when he stumbles out of a portal, alone, he feels a sense of dread settle in his stomach, and once he figures out the cause, he feels his whole world shatter.
Nothing could have ever prepared him for this.
