“How far?” Mobei-jun growls.
“There are f-f-f-five stages,” Shang Qinghua shivers out, lips numb. “The fifth stage is death.”

Shang Qinghua and Mobei-jun have their spiritual powers sealed before getting dumped in a white-out snowstorm. Mobei-jun quickly learns that humans are far more susceptible to the cold than he thought.

Summary

Summary
Wolfwood was no stranger to flirting with death but this was pushing even his bad luck. He had no idea just what manner of creature perched hungrily in his church. He couldn’t have known just how starving this vampire was.
Modernish Day (~80's-90's) AU in which Vash is a vampire and falls in love with Priest Wolfwood. It takes place in a small desert town called Hopeland. It does not follow the canon timeline and only references certain plot points from the anime but it will contain spoilers for characters' backstories. There will be many chapters and though the main pairing will be Vash/Wolfwood, there will (eventually) be a love triangle with an OC of mine (because this is incredibly self-indulgent). I don't think this counts as a true slow burn but it will take them time to figure things out. POV switches between characters. The rating will progressively increase.
