After leaving behind a painfully lonely high school experience, Michael is eager and anxious to start college, especially when he learns he's going to have a roommate. When that roommate turns out to be Gavin Free, the complete opposite of Michael himself, he realizes that this year will not only bring about new experiences and new people, but Michael will begin to realize that maybe being alone isn't the best thing that could happen to him; maybe, just maybe, the best thing that could happen to him just so happens to sleep on the other side of the room.
