I think I’m scared. I trust my dreams, I trust his memories. I trust his voice and his laugh and his family. I trust his hate for blueberries and how much he misses his father. I’m part of his mind and thoughts and somehow that’s never scared me. What will happen outside? I don’t trust the world. I don’t trust myself. But how can I say no to that, to him? How can I say no to the man who’s glowing in the moonlight like an iron statue. I can try and believe for him, at least. I wonder if he can feel my own heart too. I hope he does.
