Out of all the things Eren Jaeger had expected to be in his adult life, haunted was not one of them.
And yet.
He drew the covers up to his chin as if they'd protect him from whatever was clanging around in his new apartment, trying not to yell out loud. He'd never been so terrified before, not even when he'd had to kill those two thugs to save his sister. At least he'd known what those thugs were like an how to attack them, but a ghost—?
He considered calling Mikasa or Armin for help, but then he remembered that they were miles away. Even if Armin did come up with a plan, Eren would be dead already.
Joy. How do you escape a ghost anyway?
Maybe I can make it to the fire escape before it gets to me, he thought, grimly, as he straightened up. He didn't particularly want to see what it looked like, he just wanted to get the hell out of here before—
"Boo."
"AAAAAARGHHH!" He screamed, closing his eyes and lashing out as hard as he could.
"Oof! Ouch, kid, what the fuck?"

Truth be told, Mats just doesn't consider himself as the type of person who needs a soulmate to survive. He knows the chances of finding them are pretty rare-- it's a big world-- and he's okay with that, really. He's pretty indifferent to the system-- if he finds his soulmate, well and good for them both, and if they don't meet, well, too bad, but Mats can live with that.
Or the one where Mats doesn't care about finding his soulmate, until he does.

He's quite surprised when he finds a letter on the doormat.
Eyebrows furrowed, Manuel bends down to pick it up, turning it over and checking the address to make sure it's been delivered to the right house. There's nobody who would mail a letter to him-- everybody he knows has his new number and none of his friends from Schalke have his new address.
Yet, the address traced in childish, messy but careful cursive is very decidedly his address.
He takes the letter to the kitchen and opens it carefully. A page full of the same handwriting that gives him a headache greets him-- so it's not even an official letter.
Slightly confused, but curious, Manuel starts to read.

He stops playing, startled, the ball rolling to a halt at his feet. Kun looks at him, worried. “Leo?”
Leo can’t answer. He’s overwhelmed by the explosion of colour around him. Suddenly, Kun looks shockingly bland against the green grass they're playing on.
“Leo?” Kun says again.
“I—” Leo tries to say, but chokes on his words. He picks up a blade of grass and stares at it wonderingly. He looks at his best friend and tries again. “—green.”
“What?”
“Green, Kun.” He says, clearly this time, feeling an involuntary grin identical to Kun’s unfurling itself on his face, and then Kun is tackling him to the ground in joy and faked jealously, yelling you lucky bastard, you into his ear as they roll over the newly green grass.

It's not that he doesn't like Cris- if the latter had been suggesting getting a coffee instead, or watching a movie sitting in the warm cabin they'd rented in Switzerland, Leo would have agreed gladly- but the thing is, he's never ice skated before and he just knows that he's going to be crap at it.

Kun is feeling completely clueless.
They're sitting at a dining table in the canteen of a U20 camp and the guy shrinks away even more at Kun's silence and glares at Angel, looking as if he'd rather be anywhere else but there.
Kun feels utterly foolish as he asks, "What's your name?"
"Lionel."
Kun searches his brain for any recognition. There's none.
He tries again. "What's your last name?"
"Messi."
Nothing.
"Sorry, what?"
"Messi."
And he's still completely bewildered, because he's never heard of a Lionel Messi, and he's wondering if the said Lionel Messi is offended at not being recognised.
"Sorry, I don't-"
And Lionel Messi's face splits into a wide smile. "Don't worry about it, I haven't heard of you either."
"Oh." Kun lets out a breath he didn't realise he'd been holding. "I'm Sergio Agüero. Kun Agüero, actually."
Then he realised that he's already said that, and mentally facepalms himself.
"You can call me Leo."
Kun nods. After a minute, all the boys go back to talkin about Nike shoes, and Kun joins in enthusiastically.
