“What have you been up to?” Padme asked after a while. “You know, since you’ve been out on your own?”
Ahsoka wasn’t sure where to begin. She could talk about how Obi-Wan had somehow found her one night and given her enough money to start out with. “Just know that I still care deeply for you.” He had said, brushing away her tears with his thumb. “Even when things are different.”
She could talk about her first job as a mechanic, how she thought Anakin would be proud of her for it. She could talk about the time she ran into Jesse once, and how her heart had hurt so much she couldn’t sleep for several nights.
Instead she settled for current affairs, the ones which had landed her here in the first place. “Well I’ve been working with this group for a while now.”
(Or, after getting hurt during one of the more dangerous aspects of her new life, Ahsoka reunites with Anakin and Padme and gets one last chance to make everything right)

She hadn't expected to run into someone that was almost a mirror of herself, and she certainly hadn't planned to be temporarily brought into the home that she was born in. Despite not having anything but a bond of blood with her birth parents, she found a short moment of refuge from the turmoil in the galaxy through them.

Summary
Sakura took a minute to think back to this morning. Like pretty much every morning, they woke up intertwined with each other, and then got up, brushed their teeth next to each other in the small bathroom. Sakura went out to make something for breakfast while Shisui got dressed, made the bed, and laid out her outfit for the day. They ate together, and Sakura got dressed while Shisui did whatever dishes were laying around. After that, they got their gear, and headed to their respective workplaces, which happened to be right next to each other. Like every morning, Shisui pressed a kiss to her cheek and they seperated right in the middle of the hospital and administration building.
“Holy shit. I’ve been dating my best friend for like six years now!” Sakura blurted out, a hand coming up to cover her face quickly after.
