Summary
They made her a weapon. He's trying to make her human again.
For two years, she was known only as Subject 3227. A prisoner in a hellish lab, she was tortured, experimented on, and remade into something both less and more than human. Gifted with terrifying psychic abilities; telekinesis, regeneration, and the power to make atoms explode; her only path to freedom was a river of blood.
Now, she is broken, haunted, and drowning in the guilt of her own devastating power.
Found curled in the ruins of her cell by the enigmatic Lieutenant Ghost of Task Force 141, she is a volatile asset and a shattered soul. Ghost, a man who wears his own trauma behind a skull mask, is tasked with containing and controlling her. But to do that, he must first tame the storm of fear and rage that threatens to detonate at any moment.
This is the story of a weapon learning to be a girl again, and a ghost learning how to be an anchor. In the sterile, high-stakes world of a military base, they will both have to confront their demons. Because, if she can’t learn to control the power that was forced upon her, she may destroy her only chance at salvation, and take the entire team down with her.

Summary
The tall masked man that you grew to know over time, head to toe in thick black tactical gear, fully covered mask except for the eye slit, had his arms crossed. Seeming like he was ready to leave.
With how long you’d been on the same team together, he was still a mystery.
Still, every time you looked his way, questions swirled in your mind. What made him enlist? Why the mask? Why the separation from everyone?
Even leading to taking a small peek at his file. It was all redacted anyway, so it didn’t matter.
Not to mention the way your brain numbed with the question of how his piercing eyes could pin you down onto one spot so easily. Which was happening right now.Bookmarked by DuckDuckShark
