    Summary

Eighteen years after leaving his small town—and his best friend and first love—to pursue his education and a different life, Viktor returns back home. Ready to slow down and find joy again, he settles in a new apartment and prepares to start fresh.

    Summary

After everything - the Hexgates, the choice to finish things together - they wake in a cottage by the sea.

The world is quiet. The air salt-wet and unfamiliar. The rooms feel lived in, but not by them. They don’t know how they got here. They don’t know why they’re alive.

Viktor is sick. He says it’s nothing. Jayce pretends to believe him.

In the hours between then and now, between silence and survival, something begins to grow.
