Summary
The wendigo slowly pulls himself out from under the bed, a mess of shadows and darkness. Will’s eyes widen considerably as they fall on the beast. Long majestic horns sprout from an ovular head. The head is attached to a skeletal torso, each visible rib protruding out from the blackened skin. Hannibal’s jaw ticks tensely, waiting for the little boy to react accordingly: to burst into sobs or run for safety or, most commonly, both.
“Cool.” Will breathes in awe.
“Pardon me?” Hannibal blinks. The wendigo has had many words thrown at him from people blinded by terror but “cool” is not one he is familiar with.

Summary

“Praise always stokes the creative fire when it's genuine. It's even more delightful coming from one's muse. Thank you for all your kind words and for giving us your time.” Hannibal scanned his face to punctuate his sentiment, “It's invaluable.”
Will wondered if the other man always talked like this.

One found what they truly needed when they stopped obsessively thinking about finding it.
This is a story in which Will pursues Hannibal and gets him, wants a child and adopts one, builds a life and almost loses it.
Or, it's a story in which Hannibal allows himself to be wooed, becomes a family man to keep his "person suit" intact, and almost loses it all due to his hubris.
