His eyes glowed green with emotion. “That’s it?” he hissed. “That’s all you’re gunna say?!” His volume mounted and anger radiated from him. “I’ve been so… so damned scared that you were about to rip me into tiny pieces, I was terrified that you’d shoot me out of the sky, wrap me up in a net and haul me down to the lab for your next experiment!
