Johnny is running out of time to find her. The moment he offhandedly commented on the fate of every runner being that they would fry themselves in their own chair was weighing on him heavily every day. Particularly now that two of the best Netrunners he has ever known are unreachable beyond the Blackwall, and trying to find V is like searching for a digitised needle in a virtual haystack.

Summary
It has been 3 months since the raid on Arasaka Tower. V and Judy have both departed Night City with Panam and her Aldecaldos. The group have already moved to Tucson and found very limited success with Panam's contacts, and are now searching elsewhere. Their search has brought them out of the desert to Seattle, where Judy seems to arrive at a solution to her lover's affliction. It will, however, require V to go through a trial akin to hell itself, if far less enjoyable.
