Summary
Caroline Forbes isn't special, except she could see people who weren't there. Not every ghost it isn't like she goes to the cemetery and sees a bunch of dead people. Just two mostly, a kind of psychotic one and a quiet sullen one. And the worst part is they won't leave her alone, they can't.
Now Caroline has to navigate this and all the things that come with living in Mystic Falls. It would also really help if she could stop having weird dreams that would be great.

Summary
The summer before Junior year of high school, something happens. Caroline survives a massacre at Cheer camp. A vampire left many dead and Caroline scarred. She learns one thing that day, vampires are monsters. None can be trusted.
After spending a year with her extended family, Caroline is back and is ready to be a sort of normal girl. Until she meets Elena's new boyfriend and then things spiral from there. Now she faces chaos around her as vampires try to turn her life upside down and she hates herself for wanting to know the immortal family.

Summary

When the love of her life is slain in battle, Caroline realizes that her hand is betrothed to the victor since she is the only grandchild of the late king. Upon her wedding to the new king, she vows that she will hate him for all eternity but time is a fickle thing and so it the heart.
