  Summary

  Amaranth knows what she is: a Thread Mage, the most powerful type of magical, and the most dangerous. The magic she wields can destroy worlds, and so she keeps it secret. Now, at nearly thirteen, she is required to attend school. But when another student starts behaving strangely, as if possessed, Amaranth realizes her magic is the only cure. Should she reveal her secrets and save her classmate, or stay silent and live with the guilt?

  Min has failed the Trials, condemned to a life of servitude in a sinister government agency called The Karmozijn. However, all is not as it seems. On their way to the Karmozijn, she and another child are taken away from their escort, and into a secret world of magic. But it is soon revealed that even this paradise has a darker side — the imperial government must be toppled, and the Magicals believe they are the only ones who can do it

  Kasey is confused, midway through a visit with his grandpa, a man bursts into the house saying something about stones and the Emperor. Now, Kasey is on the run, stuck in a dingy little cabin in the woods. Apparently, magic is real, he has it, and his grandpa is part of an organization to overthrow the government.
