Summary
Liminal space is a place of transition, a threshold between two points, signaling the end of one time or space, and the beginning of another. These spaces exist in the real world as physical locations, but are also present in our cognition and psychological experience, often related to major life changes and periods of uncertainty.
Ei prefers these fluorescent-buzzing corridors. They listen to her heartbeat and let her stay stagnant without begrudging and urging her to move on, move forward already.She may not be able to see her sister again but perhaps in this empty void that disconnects from reality, her sister might be behind her, hidden from sight by one of these many corners.
(She’s not, she can’t be but that doesn’t stop Ei from hoping anyway.)
