The ghost came out from his periphery and Val found himself throwing himself in front of Vox. Vox made some sound, but with Val’s hackles raised he had missed what it was.
The movie paused. “That… wasn’t you jumping into his arms.”
He wanted Velvette to shut up. Val chittered again, angrily.
“Protecting Vox from the fake gho—”
That was it. Val left the room, screaming obscenities in the air as he went into his wing of the penthouse and slammed the doors behind himself.
