Summary
The summer before graduation, Rex Vhett opts for a twelve-week position as a lighthouse keeper instead of a summer intensive like his classmates. The fresh air and quiet will be a good opportunity to get away from the choices hanging over his head, if only for the summer, though he won't be going alone. It's probably excessive to bring along a supernatural investigator, but at least it will bring his roommate some peace of mind.
While the usual summer lull is starting up early, Obi-Wan Kenobi is perfectly capable of managing his own workload, thank you very much. But if his little brother is really so worried about his college roommate vanishing into the middle of nowhere for three months, it's no trouble to tag along. There are plenty of cold cases to fill up his days, and at least he'll get a break from the weight of knowing stares that start up like clockwork every May.
The lighthouse is everything either of them could hope for, a shelter from the storm of life where they finally have a chance to catch their breath. But calm doesn't mean peaceful, stillness isn't safety, and a moment captured in amber preserves only ghosts. Summer can't stay forever, and eventually everyone must make a choice.

Summary
The heroes have stumbled into many new and unfamiliar eras, and while this one may be stranger than most, it's nothing new. What's new is the blonde girl who drags them out of danger and warns them away from hurting her beloved.
(Or: How they might have met Sky)Then something dodges, ducking under his sword with a hiss, and he staggers back into Time, his face draining of blood as he takes in dusky skin and blonde hair and blue-green eyes. He almost—his stomach threatens to rebel, and he buries that thought to deal with later. She dodged, that's what matters.
The girl's ears twitch a few times in rapid succession, her brow furrowing, but she doesn't look angry—only surprised. She opens her mouth, then stops abruptly, shoulders tensing.
Her hand flashes out and Hyrule flinches as she rips his sword out of his shock-slackened grip; her skirts flare out as she spins sharply on her heel and slashes her stolen sword, blood and iron gleaming in the faint light as she cuts down one of those bokoblins.

Summary
If there's one thing the heroes know, it's that there's never a guarantee of safety, especially on the other side of an opaque portal. But while they accounted for monsters, poor weather, and unstable terrain, no-one expected to find only water beneath their feet.

"Where's Time?"
The shout echoes over the water and lodges in his chest like a stone, threatening to pull him under. The water is greedy. He twists back to the group, counting heads as he goes: Wild, Four, Hyrule, Legend, Warriors, Sky. Six. Time is nowhere to be seen. Time, who had stepped onto all-but-bottomless water just like the rest of them and been pulled under. Time, who apparently hasn't resurfaced.
Time, who wears a full set of plate armor that weighs almost as much as Four does.
He has only a moment to meet Sky's horrified stare before something blurs between them too quick to see, vanishing beneath the water with barely a sound.

(Yeah, it's pretty much an "all the Links meet" plot. What can I say, I love this sort of garbage. Plus, domestics! Pretty heavily inspired by Dimensional Links and Linked Universe, but colored with my own love of angst and domestics.)
