Love, in her drunken haze, stirred on the couch and grabbed View’s arms. “Let’s play again sometime,” she murmured softly, a smile tugging at her lips despite her inebriated state. “You’re very skilled with your fingers.” The words hung in the air, too intimate, too casual, too much.
Milk’s heart slammed against her ribs as she heard the words slip from Love’s mouth. She couldn’t process it. It felt like the world had frozen, like everything in the room was too sharp, too clear.
View grinned and ruffled Love’s hair affectionately. “We will,” she said softly, her smirk lingering just a little too long.
