Damian had been ‘off’ more times than ‘on’ these past few weeks, following the appearance and just as abrupt disappearance from his brother.
Damian’s brother. As in Bruce’s son.
(His firstborn son. His resurrected son. His ‘trained in the League of Shadows to become a perfect killing machine’ son. Bruce was not one to believe in coincidences, but this was just absurd.)

Or: An art exhibition ends with Poison Ivy attacking a research facility and Danny getting caught in the crossfire. Bruce takes this opportunity to find out more about his firstborn son, but getting answers out of Danny is like chasing ghosts.

"So… they were looking for greenshine?" she asks. It isn't like she can judge — not with how many caverns she's gone diving in looking for the stuff.
"It was a khurim," Kotallo says after a pause, like he's realising he will have to explain further before Aloy understands. "When Tenakth decide to marry, one party will issue a challenge — a difficult hunt or retrieving a rare resource, commonly — and the other must complete it as proof of their worthiness. Sometimes it is done by partners who have been long established together or sometimes a challenge is issued by a warrior with many suitors as a way of… narrowing the field."

Lancer rushes over, of course, fretting all the while about what accident Danny Fenton has gotten himself into now, because it could only be him. Except, when he arrives, it's not the Danny he expected to find.
