Stepping into Max’s hotel room feels wrong somehow. But it's not like he didn't know this was a real possibility when he showed up. What did he want if not to be let in? He'd been in Max's hotel room before. This was nothing new. Not really. But… It had been awhile. Max closes and locks the door behind him.
Daniel waits for about two seconds before deciding to treat this like back in the golden days where they practically lived with each other. Red Bull could have saved money and booked them rooms together for all the time they spent in each other's rooms. Might as well pretend nothing had changed.
Waltzing in, he collapses onto the couch. “Nice room Maxie, I think-” he turns his head just in time to see Max stumble, reaching for the wall and bringing a hand up to his bowed head. “Hey,” he's back on his feet and moving towards him, “Max? What's wrong?”

Summary
Scanning his eyes around the bar Daniel clocks the two workers looking almost as bored as he is and that makes him smile. He feels vindicated by it in a sick way, knowing he's not the only one having a shit time, at least they're being paid for it. Then he sees it, a printed sign taped to the wall at the back of the bar, 'FREE WIFI – ASK 4 PASSWORD'. Small mercies.
