Summary
For five years, the wizarding world believed Harry Potter was dead.
A forged obituary. A fake death certificate. A grieving family standing beneath carefully constructed lies. Even Albus Dumbledore accepted the story and walked away, believing the Boy-Who-Lived had perished before ever reaching Hogwarts.
But Harry Potter was never dead. He just wished he were.
He was locked beneath the stairs. Beaten bloody for every mistake. Starved until hunger became ordinary. Taught that magic made him a freak and that survival meant silence. For years, he endured, kept alive under impossible odds.
Then Dudley hits him one final time.
There’s a crack of impossible magic, a burst of air, and suddenly Harry is lying in the woods at the feet of a pale angelic, blond boy with silver eyes, and for a moment Harry thinks he's finally died and gone to heaven.
Draco Malfoy doesn’t know who the broken boy is. He only knows someone hurt him badly enough that he flinches from kindness and looks at the sky like he’s seeing freedom for the first time.
And Draco refuses to leave him there to die.

Harry is depressed, and after a particularly harsh beating, takes to harming himself once more to shove his emotions down. But he cuts too deep, and nearly bleeds out.
Now, stuck on suicide watch in Snape's home upon demand of Dumbledore, Harry is determined not to get better. It's easier to never feel, to just bleed away his emotions.

Severitus fic revolving around healing from self-harm addiction and learning to lean on those around us for comfort rather than the sharp allure of a blade.
Obviously, massive content warning for graphic, frequent self-harm, but also for graphic child abuse at the beginning. After that, it's mostly talks of deaths, guilt, the usual. Really though;
Love yourself. If you're not in the headspace for this, don't feel pressured to read.

Summary
