When life slips away with a fervent wish in one’s heart, and promises are made to meet again…
Sometimes the Creator takes every wish too seriously, and doesn’t read them all before granting them.
Haru passed first, his feelings unyielding despite all the atrocities that broke his body and heart. Hana lived her remaining years as an unmarried woman, yearning for something pure and uncomplicated when she reunited with the people that mattered most.
Two similar wishes fundamentally clashed - realized too late for the Creator to fix the situation, but early enough to give just one person an advantage. It’s an advantage that’s beyond bittersweet and sometimes shatters the soul, but if it can save them… rejecting it is impossible.

Summary
Mornings start early, and bacon isn’t really an option. If you’re a renowned serial killer, it can be easy to get carried away in pursuit of a decent breakfast. Shenanigans can happen at any time of day if you just go with the flow.
That said, idioms reach even the most uncultured of folks, and sometimes they’re a bit uncultured, too. Even for the most uncultured and crass individuals, however, not all double entendres have to be dirty. Making a new idiom out of one might even be a possibility.
“We’ll bust this joint in a minute. I’m just about to shovel down some pigs in a blanket.”

Summary
Young Isaac Foster, or Zack as he prefers to be called, has spent his first eleven years on this earth caring for no one but himself.
In an orphanage operated illegally and run only for money every day is a fight for survival. He can't afford to care about any of the other kids that pass through the door. The ones who don't disappear end up dying and Zack ends up burying them in the yard. Getting attached would be stupid.
That is the mentality he lives with until a four year old girl with blonde hair and dead blue eyes is dropped off at the orphanage.
He ignores her at first but her odd behavior and stubbornness continues to grow on him until eventually, he comes to deeply and genuinely care about her. For the first time in his young life, he has the desire to protect someone other than himself.

Summary
All in all, she's been coping as best as she could. Neglectful parents forced her to move to a new city, forcing her to leave behind everything she's ever cared about. Her new home is horribly shabby and her new high school is boring and grey. Between the abuse and the overall hardships of being a teenager, she's trying her best to blend in the background.
Then a man clad in bandages breaks into her room at midnight and accuses her of stealing his house. So there's that.
