They stare at each other before Porchay steps aside to let Macau in. “Yeah, I would.”

This is such an excellent fic in so many ways - masterful character study, slow burn relationships, sweetness and heat, etc - but so much of the dialogue also manages to be absolutely fucking hysterical. I literally laughed out loud so many times while reading!
