Summary
"Alright, hold on a second. Let me take a guess. You just arrived in the big city, completely clueless, and you went from being part of the majority to a mere subpopulation in just a few hours. You said goodbye to your seaside home to end up in the equivalent of a broom closet with not much more to your name than a shipwrecked sailor, am I right?"
Kuroo Tetsuro, 22 years old, like his entire family and every person he has ever met, is a beta. When he arrives in Tokyo, the only place in the country where betas are just a mere subpopulation among others, he naively believes that statistics won’t change much in his life. Gross miscalculation on his part, and he quickly realizes it when he is thrust into a completely unfamiliar world governed by an absurd set of rules, where he has to question everything he ever knew, about justice, love, and himself.Bookmarked by Endless_song

Summary
“I hope I didn’t keep you waiting for long. I was held up by a meeting and traffic. My apologies,” the person—a man—says to him in a rich, deep voice, and oh.
Xie Lian stares, stunned. The man is gorgeous. Dark hair, eyepatch, and sensuous smile. He wears a black suit with a crimson tie, all broad shoulders and fine features. Xie Lian is particularly drawn to the streak of silver in his hair, pronounced as sunlight on snow.
(In which broke university student Xie Lian becomes a sugar baby to a rich, powerhouse attorney.)

Summary
Everything was going wrong in Pei Ming’s life and it was Rain Master Yushi Huang’s fault.
Well, to be fair, it was probably Jun Wu’s fault, if Pei Ming was being technical about it.
If Jun Wu hadn’t gone completely bonkers, then the shit currently responsible for ruining Pei Ming’s life—such as repeatedly getting bucked off a black ox, killing fewer corpse rats than non-martial-god Rain Master Yushi Huang, getting roasted and toasted and looking very un-suave in front of everyone including (again) Rain Master Yushi Huang, etc.—theoretically wouldn’t have happened.
But when it came down to it, aside from Jun Wu, there was one glaringly obvious common factor to Pei Ming’s ongoing misfortune.
Ever since all hell broke loose (er, all heaven broke loose, to be literal?) and he lost to Rain Master Yushi Huang, Pei Ming’s luck had never recovered.
Pei Ming was a doer, not a thinker, and he was at his wit’s end trying to think of a solution—so he'd fix things the only way he knew how.
The bad luck started with Rain Master, so logically it would end there too.
Or: Pei Ming thinks that all he has to do is win against Yushi Huang.
Easier said than done.Series
