Summary
Following the death of Luna, the prolific dancer and choreographer, her studio and company are left to her adopted children, Misha and Vanitas. After a feeble attempt to keep the company afloat, ultimately the studio is closed. Disappointed and grieving, Misha and Vanitas are invited to do a residency at Red Valentine, a studio run by a competitor and tentative "friend" of Luna's, August Ruthven. Along with Misha and Vanitas, Red Valentine has invited company members from a London-based company: Noé and Domi.
Vanitas struggles in working with his new partner, Jeanne. However, Vanitas is drawn to Noé and the way that he dances. Noé, who recently suffered the loss of his contemporary dance partner, finds himself growing closer to Vanitas the more they work together. Working side by side with Noé, Vanitas slowly begins to reawaken his love of dancing. As the residency drags on, Vanitas finally agrees to participate in Luna's last great project. The project they never got to finish: Swan Lake.
