Haruka unfolds an umbrella over the two of them as they rush down the street: neon-smears of light refracting in the gossamer rain, traffic honking, asphalt oilslick-glitter-wet. Michiru laughs as Haruka half-hoists her over a puddle, an exuberant twirl, a grin into her hair.
