    Summary

Newly-crowned Valarr Targaryen is an alpha in bearing, if not in boast. Deft with the sword and quicker still with the quill. Soft-spoken in council yet iron-firm where it counts. However, a secret only the inner council is privy to reveals that, for reasons none dare name aloud, the King is incapable of taking an omega to mate.

Aerion returns from exile not long after the coronation, gone once with empty hands, only to come back burdened with a bastard child. And Valarr, who has sired no heirs of his own nor ever shown inclination to, finds himself inexplicably drawn to the child all the same.

    Summary

“They will choose for me,” he said finally. “If I do not.” He sighed. "Or I will forfeit and look like a fool in front of all of the tourney."

Valarr studied him for a long moment, gaze unflinching. Then he said, deliberately, “Then choose first.”

The certainty in Valarr‘s voice was infuriating. A silence settled, held, not awkward until Valarr spoke again, slower this time, in High Valyrian.

    “Zaldrītsos.”

    Little dragon.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When a duel meant to assert his honour is halted by the rules of the Seven Kingdoms, Prince Aerion Targaryen finds himself without a champion, until Valarr steps forward. Tall, cryptic, and unflinchingly capable, Valarr claims Aerion’s cause, but not without consequence.

    Summary

It made no sense for Wednesday to be in love with Tyler.

Staring down into the toilet, Wednesday Addams gazed coolly at the bloody roses she’d just expelled. Red. The color of love, of passion. Red as the blood in her veins, and the meaning was clear.

She thought of the boy who was unafraid to engage with her. She thought of the boy with the chestnut curls and sunshine smile, the one who challenged and enticed her. The monster who betrayed her.

It made no sense, Wednesday thought as she flushed the toilet, watching the bloody petals spin and disappear.

    She didn’t love him.

    ***

It made too much sense for Tyler to be in love with Wednesday.

She’d hunted him, and he’d played her. He’d deceived her, she’d tortured him. She’d ensured his imprisonment in Willow Hill, and he’d thrown her out of a window and put her into a coma. His perfect girl, really.

Staring down at the red tulips he’d just hacked up, he thought of the girl that he’d once watched Legally Blonde with. The girl with dark braids and darker eyes and a wit sharp enough to cut.

It was easy for him to be in love with Wednesday Addams.

It was just a pity that she would never love him back.

    Summary

    Slurp started the zombie apocalypse.

Now, years later, Wednesday moved like a silent punctuation mark across the carcass of the world. Black boots. Black braids. Black blade. She had traded her cello for a machete, though she still hummed Vivaldi when decapitating zombies. Human colonies were the only imitation of civilization left, but they were built on fear, ruled by whomever held the most guns and the least conscience. Survivors were chaotic, loud, sentimental, and possessed an alarming talent for stepping directly into a creature’s open mouth. Zombies were, at least, predictable and reliable.

But Tyler Galpin—then and now—belonged to a category all his own.

    More monster than man.

And more slave than anything else, even after all these years.
