Well temporary. Valentino made it clear that he wasn't welcome. They kept him locked away in some closet. Forgotten until they needed to use him.
This is what he was broken down into. Just a tool. To add insult to injury, Vincent's title of overlord had been stripped effectively immediately.
What could he do about it? Nothing! Fucking nothing but wait.
Was it pathetic that it was the highlight of his days? Perhaps. What did it matter anymore? He wasn't a god.
Vincent Whittman was just a failure. It left the most foul taste in his mouth. Knowing that he was right. That stupid fucking deer.
The reason he lost it all! Fame, riches and an adoring public. It wasn't enough and now Vincent had nothing left.
