in other words, i just headcannon a batman that has an okay working relationship with most of the Rogues gallery of gotham, like imagine gotham is a daycare and batman is NOT the teacher no that's alfred but batman is like the trainee teacher. the one the kids all trust and like to bully but also listen to ultimately and loves (secretly) because he actually knows what each of them are going through -
Also it is just me, 1 am crackhead energy, very unbeta-ed.

Being sent to the Rito in the dead of winter is a punishment. Link is ostensibly relieving the longtime Hylian military attaché, so this could be construed a promotion—but for the timing.
Another birthday has come and gone, and still he has not presented. And even though everyone expects him to be appointed the Princess’s knight, one thing is for sure—the King will never select anyone but an alpha. And he certainly won’t trust his only child with someone who hasn’t even presented yet. Maybe it would be different if Link had the sword that seals the darkness, but he doesn’t.

“You… don’t remember me at all?” Revali asks, searching Link’s eyes, and he sounds almost desperate.

“Did it trigger a memory?” Teba asks, and Link nods numbly. “If I may ask,” He sounds hesitant, which doesn’t bode well, “In the memory, what color was the bead the champion placed in your hair when he braided it?” Link isn’t sure why that would matter, but he gives the information anyway. “Purple… you say.” Teba’s face is one of someone whose world has been turned on its axis.
