Summary
Genderswapped Dante and Vergil. The fic will mostly follow Dante’s (now Diane’s) perspective, with occasional flashbacks, but only events that she has a recollection of. Sometimes there will be some Vergil (now Victoria) oriented chapters. Consider it kind of as a fix-it fic, as anything I didn’t like from dmc will be altered, and you’ll hear my interpretation of unknown lore (like teenage Vergil in Fotuna).
Edit: This is no longer just a genderswapping experiment. I want to re-write and “fix” the storylines of multiple Devil May Cry games. As the title implies, the story will be squeaky clean (probably too ambitious lol), this is my soap box, for a dmc fix-it fic. Enjoy! -

Summary
Right after the end of DMC 4, Kyrie learns that Nero is trans. She takes it hard, and Nero is forced to leave Fortuna, but at his lowest and most desperate time Lady helps him and Nico becomes his close friend.
Slightly AU because Devil May Cry acts more like a coherent business and Nico and Dante are implied to have met before. Not enough to have it as a tag, though.
Happens before DMC 5, Nero has both arms, no Vergil and almost no Dante. Literally only two sentences with him.
Swears are hashed out because I couldn’t bring myself to type slurs on my keyboard. Sorry if that breaks the immersion :(

Rumi grits her teeth and pulls her hand out of her pajama shorts, another bolt of pleasure following it; she feels raw, as if she’s been grinding against her own hand for hours in her sleep, which is entirely possible. Her fingers are pruny. Her hand is soaked to the wrist. The shorts make an obscene wet sound, sticking to her clammy skin.
“Are you serious,” Rumi groans. Silence answers her, because she’s alone in her bedroom, because neither Mira or Zoey are sprawled out either side of her like usual.
Rumi’s going into heat, and neither of her alphas are even in Seoul.
