Summary
A black and white world surrounds them. Rain pounds on the window as he smokes a cigarette, water drips in from the opened crack that leads to the cruel outside world. This case ain't like any he's done before. There's nothing to grip onto and he's spiralling into an abyss of what ifs and hypotheticals. His assistant has started to grow tried of his jaded attitude, but what would she know?! She's just a novice, greener than a emerald in the burning sun! There's nothin' left here. But he just can't bring himself to quit. There's somethin' about it... Maybe the lead detective will know something I don't- he is my childhood friend after all.
