What if the last tree wasn't cut down, and what if The Onceler could salvage the forest with that tree. But how would he get the money? With music of course! The Onceler is very talented with his guitar.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After going on a crazed greed trip fueled by pride The Onceler has an argument with The Lorax, with The Onceler claiming nothing can stop him. Just before they notice a tree killing machine fast approaching the last tree in a desolate field.
And then The Onceler puts an end to it all, calling off the driver of said machine, leaving the tree still standing. And with that tree, he starts his journey of restoring the forest to it's former glory. With the help of The Lorax, his animal friends the Barb-a-Loots, Swomme Swans and Humming fish, and his talent for music.

Summary
The funny thing about time and space is that it doesn’t make sense at all. There are infinite possibilities, an infinite number of outcomes that all stem from one little action. Some people may think of it as a butterfly effect; a sequence of events that happen due to one teensy, weensy moment, like the flap of a butterfly’s wings.
If you were to ask Mc Pines, they’d say that time was much more complicated than that.
There is an infinite number of timelines, all stemming off from those tiny little moments. It’s like a swarm of rabid butterflies that are beating their infuriatingly colorful little wings to create entire hurricanes of different universes.
All Mc has to do is rip off the wings of one little butterfly in order to set things right. The hard part was figuring out which butterfly to dismember.
OR
Bill Cipher's witch partner uses magic time travel to resurrect him and succeed in world domination.
