Summary
George has to do whatever he can to get information about the revival ritual from Dream. If that requires getting close to him again, then so be it.

Dream examines George, looking over him carefully. Then, his eyes returned to George’s and he stood up. “You shifted attitudes rather quickly,” he points out.
“I know you’re not going to… spit up whatever it is I need to know,” he says, “so that means we’re stuck together for a while.” He breaks eye contact. “So we might as well take advantage of that."
Then, Dream is smiling again. He gets up and walks forward, looking rather satisfied with himself. “I knew you’d come around,” he says, closing the gap between them. Then, Dream wraps his arms around George, leaning his head down to his ear. “I’m not as bad as they make me out to be,” Dream whispers, causing a shiver to crawl down his spine. “I’ll redeem myself if you let me.”

Summary
Day 3: Flowers
“I promise you. I promise I’ll come back.”
He promises, George thinks wistfully. He promises such a thing- to offer George with his word on something, to uphold it. It’s as if he’s saying that he’ll give the world to him, just for him. But somewhere is the lingering thought in George's mind is that he won't come back. That the cruel war that had riddled their land will take him too, and he will be left aching and worry-worn. George shivers at the thought. Of a life without him.
“You promise?"
That you’ll come home to me?
And as if he heard those unspoken words. Dream beams at him.
“I promise. You won’t even notice that I was gone, my love.”
George lets out a wet and broken laugh at the overly romantic pet name that he associates with his beloved. Dream does so too, before pulling him back into his embrace.
They stay there for a bit. The war can wait.
“I promise I’ll be waiting.”
(or, the war au with letters and oscar wilde quotes.)
