Bruce swallowed, hard, past the lump in his throat. “Tim, sweetheart, I-”
Tim cut him off with the side of his clenched fist pounding on Bruce’s chest. Not angry, or combative, but the sad and desperate hit of a child in turmoil.
“Why.” Tim started again, throwing another weak hit with his fist, tears beginning to well up in his eyes and breaking Bruce’s heart with every second. “Why, if you’re my biological father, am I. So. Short!”

Summary
An incident during a training exercise results in Tooru almost being crushed by rubble. Shaken, and worried, she turns to the only person she thinks could help, Midoriya Izuku. Using his analysis, Izuku attempts to find a way to help her, trying to break apart her quirk to figure out how to make her visible. Eventually, they settle on the idea of using sunlight to get her used to light hitting her skin. The only problem? The girls rooms don't get direct sunlight.
Izuku, being who he is, immediately volunteers his own room. Tooru, unwilling to simply kick him out, suggests the boy stay. After all, she is invisible.
They simply both forgot that the end goal was to change that.

And that wasn’t what Katsuki had been expecting. The death of All Might still fresh in their minds and his successor only asking: what next? But Katsuki understood, at least a little. “Now you stop holding back,” he said. “You’re not All Might, and you know it. So quit acting so fucking optimistic and do things your way. You’ve seen some of the worst this world has to offer. Why won’t you acknowledge it?”
“Ignorance helped,” said Izuku, “for a bit. So did emulating him.”
“Yeah? Well now it won’t,” countered Katsuki. “So stop fucking smiling.”
