Maybe you really did a good job. Maybe it was okay that you ended up keeping these children. Maybe you can finally look at the polaroid picture of Tōji-san and yourself and think that it was alright. Because Megumi embraces you and he is shaking a little but his hair tickles your neck. And everything is alright. Because this is how it ends. Tsumiki-chan is in the hospital but you and Megumi-kun will find a way to bring her to Tokyo for a better facility. You and Megumi-kun will live in Shinjuku, your original home, and he will manage to come home everyday instead of every Sunday. And Gojō—no, Satoru-kun will be there too, complaining about dinner, barging in without notice, and bringing home souvenirs you never asked for. Nobara-chan will be there too as you share your clothes with her, reminding her which places to look for and which brands are the best. Yūji-kun will make sure you get the recipe of his grandfather's tea correctly and he will teach you how to cook the meals he even taught to Megumi-kun. All of you will visit Tsumiki-chan, and maybe, Megumi-kun will bring his upperclassmen too and the mysterious ‘Panda’ Satoru-kun often talks about. And then, everything will be alright. Everything will be alright because—

She is a sweet child as he takes her in his arms and cuddles her, humming a favorite song of a long-gone friend (he sings louder than the wind raging a little ahead). Izuku hides her and walks out with her, remembering the lullaby the wind carried to him from the seas of Inazuma. The soles of his boots leave little red marks, but are lost in the road, the wind being merciless.
She says her name is Erie and it's her birthday, she's five years old — he says his name is Venti and he gives her song and freedom.
(The winds guard them and hide them long enough that no one will take their freedom away again.)
